The fat tail, economic bubbles and the road ahead.

The more we are exposed to the greater thnkings from the likes of taleb, Steve keen, mish, acting man, stiglitz, et al, we (or at a minimum the switched on among homo sapiens) can feel an impending doom, much as the poor watchman when he spotted the deadly iceberg with his bare eyes while freezing in the bone chilling north Atlantic night that fateful and immortalized day by the all consuming Hollywood. I couldn't imagine the implication for our race going forward by what is said in the Black Swam. Or maybe as soros observed, we are indeed crucified to an eternal reflexive boom bust cycle exactly because we fit our vastly naive version of how risks should behave on the real world? well, the fiat money system is nowhere close to being rebuked by the current crop of good for nothing boom era politicians anyhow. The view from here is utterly pessimistic to say the least. We as a race have dived headlong into an accelerating mess after we decouple out now renowned fiat currency from the last tangible asset we could feel good about, the gold. Even our trusted Hollywood studios have reaped the bonus by making a mockery of it all through no less than 3 recent films: that Oscar winning docu narrated by Jason Bourne no less, wall st 2, and margin call which I watched last night. oh and books. I'll skip the blurb on occupy (fill ur local capital city) to leave social commentaries for the talking heads and politicians. Who's gonna stop current interclusterfuck of politicians, lobbyist, and banking cartel? To fully comprehend even the surface of this titanic mess takes the dummy our of even the best of them, since we either lacks the technical know how nor the longitudinal comprehension of history that together have brought us to this most recent crisis. Alas, I pin my hope like Greenspan did! On human ingenuity and creativity! Without which we would certainly live in at least a more boring world. Cool I just cheered myself up. Well done.
