The Da Vinci Code

Honestly i couldn't decipher what all the criticism towards this film is about. As a standalone film, the pace is there and the rythm is one of intense and suspence, of course if you have read the book, then the whole thing becomes one of following the script and catching up to expectation, which i think isn't really a good thing for story of this calibre. Tom Hanks shines in his normal witty/passionate/calculated self, but there was no chemistry to speak of between him and Audrey. Language accent must be a huge barrier to their on-screen chemistry, i reckon. The CG historic background narrative scene were of particularly good quality, vividly depicting several historic events in Constatine times. Well maybe not an outstanding film as it is, it's not like 007 intense, but probably should suffice for the average audience.

spend the whole morning teaching sam driving in his rusty old ae82 corolla. that car is loud, stiff and hard to turn, but he managed to master most of turning, reversing and hill start, which is pretty good progress. So much easier when the learner is a male.

but now i'm fucked and tired and wanting to sleep.
